The following dutiesARE NOTintended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by all employees in this classification, only a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.

– Performs routine janitorial and custodial duties in the cleaning and sanitizing of City buildings and facilities.
– Buffs and waxes floors, cleans windows and cleans and stocks bathrooms.
– Maintains cleaning and equipment supply inventory; ensures that City departments are properly stocked with related supplies.
– Reports repair needs to appropriate personnel; cooperates with vendors in the repair city buildings and facilities as assigned.
– Assists Facilities Maintenance Technician with performing minor building maintenance and repair duties; changes light bulbs; replaces ceiling tiles; makes minor plumbing repairs.
– Prepare facilities for special events and meetings; set up and tear down chairs and tables.
– Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:Exercises direct supervision of custodial staff in the performance of work assignments, safety, and job responsibilities.

## Minimum Qualifications

– Possess a valid drivers license.
– High School Diploma or equivalent
– Three (3) years of experience in the custodial field.
– Supervisory or lead experience is preferred.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

– Indoor and outdoor environments, exposure to environmental hazards and chemicals.
– Ability to sit, stand, walk, crouch, lift, push, pull, climb, operate, and carry equipment.
– Work on-call or extended hours.
– Ability to push up to 50 pounds and lift to 20 pounds.
