– Greet, engage, and assist customers.
– Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
– Understand the point-of-sale system and handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit/debit, Snap EBT, Offline Snap EBT, WIC, Rainchecks, complex loyalty offers, coupons, and check out procedures according to company policy.
– Understand and adhere to the companys limits on cash shortages and/or overages and work honestly and effectively to control loss.
– Report pricing discrepancies to the scan coordinator.
– Stay current with present, future, and seasonal and special ads.
– Adhere to all the food safety regulations and guidelines.
– Follow established policies and procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
– Any other job duties designated by management.
