Schedule: Full-time (36)

Shift: Nights

7 PM to 7 AM

3-12s; days rotate throughout the week

Requirement of the role- you must be able to work 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period. Weekend shift is considered Friday and Saturday nights.

The role youll contribute:

The Hospital Paramedic will work under the direction of the designated Emergency Department physician, Hospital Paramedic Medical Director and/or the Clinical Manager/ Director of Emergency Services. Performs care for patient(s) in an expanded scope of practice in accordance with CDPHE, physician’s orders, procedures, established standards and administrative policies. Responsible for implementing technical procedures and care to Emergency Department patients safely and effectively. The quality of care and service given will adhere to the philosophy and objectives of Centura Health in order to meet the healthcare needs of patients and their families.

Uses standards of care, hospital policies/procedures and regulatory guidelines to guide work. Adheres to all State/Federal regulatory standards and all accreditation requirements.

Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the human experience in a collaborative fashion with other team members. Assists care team in achieving patient and family goals.

Communicates with RN and physician regarding patient/family observations in an ongoing fashion to assist in the treatment of patients.

Demonstrates effective use of clinical strategies to insure patient and associate safety.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

Required:

HS Diploma or GED

Three years of experience as a Paramedic provider in an emergency department and/or pre-hospital 911 response agency or equivalent

Strong communication skills: ability to read, write, and speak English.

Computer skills

Current registered Paramedic with the State of Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE)

BLS – American Heart Association

ACLS – American Heart Association

Preferred:

Fire medic experience

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation) certification

Additional Stroke training

Additional Mental Health training
