Job Description

The individual will be responsible for cleaning hospital rooms in the hospital, focusing mostly on discharges (when someone is discharged and the room is sanitized in between patients). This role involves significant walking, so candidates must be comfortable being on their feet all day. Responsibilities include wiping down equipment, emptying trash, sweeping floors, dusting, cleaning up spills, mopping, and wiping down surfaces as needed. Attention to detail is essential due to the multiple floors in the hospital. Employees will use hospital-issued iPhones to receive assignments and work orders. Tutorials are available via the iPhones if needed. Candidates must have experience working with smartphone technology and be able to learn the hospitals floor plan within a reasonable amount of time.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Lewistown, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

Very fast-paced. As the #1 trauma center, employees may encounter situations that could be jarring to the average individual. The role requires patience, especially since it may take a few weeks before new employees receive their badges. Employees in the EHS department work a rotating schedule, including every other weekend and every other major holiday (Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day, etc.).
