POSITION PORPOSE
Breast Imaging Nurse Specialist Registered Nurse RN supports our Mammography Department, under general supervision and by protocols developed by the Department of Radiology .
This position is a Full-Time, benefited position, scheduled 40 hour per week:
The primary location is Ann Arbor at the Womens Health Center (5320 Elliot Dr. Ypsillanti) with the potential to cover shifts in Brighton (7575 W Grand River Rd Brighton)
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Under limited supervision, the Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing patients, including developing, evaluating, and modifying the care plan. The RN interprets and performs complex patient-care procedures specific to their expertise.
the Breast Imaging Nurse Specialist will interface with the breast health team and assist with the coordination of all aspects of screening mammography, diagnostic imaging, clinical evaluation, support services and education for the patient and their families receiving services at the breast imaging center.
This position provides clinical functions as required in support of breast imaging center services and participates in maintaining a safe, cost-effective patient care environment.
Assures the coordination and education for all patients in need of multidisciplinary cancer care services across the continuum.
MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Current Michigan Nursing License
Graduation from accredited nursing program: Effective January 1, 2013 all new hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire.
