Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU

Under general supervision, demonstrates ability to handle nursing problems and, in general, an expanded group of nursing practices. Performs nursing intervention across a variety of nursing situations. Identifies patient problems prior to explicit changes in patient-specific data collection (such as vital signs

Education Requirement: ASN Required.

Preferred Education: BSN Preferred.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• BLS-AHA.
• CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours
• ACLS-AHA
• NIHSS
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Two years of RN experience in the ICU and demonstrated level of performance and practice is required.
• Must have ICU experience at the bedside within the past six months.
• Willingness to be flexible for different hours.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Schedule Notes: 13 week assignment 7P-7a 3 X12 hr shifts every other weekend 2 winter holidays no on call will float if ICU census is low
