Title: Master Scheduler
Reports to: Supply Chain Manager
The Master Scheduler is an experienced supply chain professional that leads production planning activities for the plant with a goal of meeting customer expectations of on-time delivery with limited oversight. Their primary role is to translate mid-term to long-term production plans into a granular-level master production schedule (MPS). In addition, they monitor S&OP to ensure alignment to the master production schedule and adjust as needed.
Furthermore, they interpret production plans, alongside valuable business data, to calculate optimized work streams for production through the allocation of production resources. Their scheduling decisions may have considerable impact on an organizations’ s costs and profits.
To be successful, the Master Scheduler must be an analytical, critical thinker, and a strong communicator with an eye for detail. They are tasked with building and maintaining strong partnerships with product management, channel, operations, management, and the entire supply chain team.

Duties and Responsibilities
Lead monthly S&OP process, analyze forecasts, and inventory change
Oversee the preparation of Rough-Cut Capacity Plans and MPS, including scenario planning
Develop run strategies and analyze trends by dissecting the production plan into specific work processes, optimizing the allocation of production resources against ongoing change, constraints, and supplier capabilities
Develop recovery plans as necessary and communicate risk and remediation
Lead cradle to grave product management reducing risk of supply disruption and end of life excess and obsolescence
Track and lead schedule attainment discussions
Manges raw material orders and WIP to coincide with production plans and inventory objectives, such as stocking strategies, replenishment, inventory target levels and days on hand
Super User and Subject Matter Expert with ability to train and onboard new planners
Education, Skills, and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required in a business-related field and a minimum of 5 years Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experienced in S&OP and Schedule Analysis
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel and PowerPoint
Demonstrated advanced initiative, problem solving, critical thinking, analysis, collaboration and influence skills
Takes accountability for decisions made in support of work-product development and process optimization
Prior experience leading with or without direct authority
APICS Certification (CPIM, CSCP) preferred
Six Sigma/Lean Training preferred
