Job Summary

The College of Lake County is looking for a Lab Attendant for the Auto Collision Repair Lab. The Laboratory Specialist will help set up and maintain the Auto Collision Repair Lab and equipment.

This is a grant funded position; continued employment in this position is based on external funding sources.

Required Qualification(s)

High School diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge of automotive equipment.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Desired Qualification(s)

Bilingual in Spanish and English

Special Instructions Summary

Part-time flex employees are not eligible to participate in certain benefit offerings at the College, including tuition reimbursement, tuition waiver, or health insurance. Part-time flex employees will be eligible for paid time off dependent on scheduled hours.

Summary of Essential Functions

Helps instructor set up instructional area as well as instructional support.

Retrieves tools and equipment (including vehicles) and makes sure the lab is organized correctly.

Keeps inventory of the tools, instructional supplies and shop security.
