Job Description
Direct staff to meet production, quality, safety, and financial demands of the operation. Coordinate manufacturing support activities and achieve or exceed key performance metrics. Direct department personnel while building and maintaining a culture of high performance. Implement policies/procedures impacting activities across manufacturing support team. Assure compliance within the manufacturing support function while delivering high levels of customer service and complying with all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Set, direct, and control all operational and financial goals and objectives of the clinical drug product manufacturing support team. Track and trend performance levels and maximize output.
Drive and lead the manufacturing support area to meet the site business strategies and is accountable for delivering batch records, raw materials, commodities, and other manufacturing support materials to the clinical drug product manufacturing department.
Develop and implement business strategies to reduce costs, lead identification and recommendation of actions that adapt and transform the organization to meet changing business needs.
Assist teams in troubleshooting manufacturing issues. Apply drug product manufacturing knowledge to efficiently produce the highest quality clinical supply products.
With staff and input from other organizations, demonstrate an ability to develop action plans, timelines, and budgets for project and product goals. Develop and manage staff through hiring, managing, performance, developing talent, and providing clear expectations.
Ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
Ensure all labor and equipment performance measures are met. Responsible for completing established goals, prioritizing project work, and coordinating all activities and improvement efforts across clinical manufacturing support staff.
Manage the employee relations climate to ensure that our AbbVie Ways of Work are implemented and an environment exists where all employees have the opportunity to develop to their maximum potential.
Coach the managers and supervisors in the area and establish clear expectations with them and all employees regarding responsibilities, goal, and behaviors. Champion and model exceptional AbbVie performance and talent management practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required in a technical field with 16 years of related work; Masters Degree Science or PharmD with 14 years of related work; PhD in Science or related field with 8 years of related work.
10 years’ experience including work in clinical supply chain functions. Progressively increased responsibility and performance as supervisor, manager, and leader of diverse teams in multiple areas of the clinical supply chain.
Business acumen coupled with functional leadership experience is required to drive high performance in a complex clinical supply packaging environment.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

Salary: $133,500 – $253,500
