Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Job Duties: Planning, defining, executing, and validating complex
manufacturing engineering projects. Meet product requirements and quality
according to program schedule, costs, and related constraints including
risk identification and mitigation. Defining/updating DFMA (Design for
Manufacturing and Assembly) guidelines to be used as a reference for other
manufacturing engineering teams. Defining assembly strategies and acting as
the responsible engineer for the manufacturing of large aircraft segments or
entire systems. Defining and writing requirements for tooling, equipment,
automation, and other resources required for the manufacturing of large
aircraft segments or entire systems. Defining and writing requirements for
building and other industrial aspects of the manufacturing lines under
oversight. Leading technical aspects of engineering teams to implement
manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment, automation, and other
resources of large aircraft segments or entire systems during product
development, certification, and entry in service. Acting as a senior
reference for a specific manufacturing technology or process performing
technical oversight and mentoring mid and entry-level engineers. Overseeing
and coordinating the interface, in relation to manufacturing aspects,
between the company and supplier for the packages under responsibility. This
includes providing technical support and guidance to senior and executive
managers. Position based at headquarters and may be assigned to unanticipated
worksites throughout the U.S. as determined by management. Telecommuting

Minimum Requirements Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering or another engineering field (or foreign
equivalent) and 5 years of experience in the job offered, Mechanical
Engineer, or related occupation.
Special requirements:
1. 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering during product design;
2. 5 years of experience in aircraft development either in manufacturing or
product development;
3. Any amount of experience in CAD and other digital tools required to
implement manufacturing processes during product development;
4. Any amount of experience in project management techniques (PMO
certification or proven equivalent experience).
