Key Responsibilities:
• Recruitment: Post open positions, review applicants, collaborate with department managers, conduct background screenings, and draft offer letters.
• Job Fairs & Marketing: Partner with local schools, attend job fairs, and manage recruitment platforms like Instagram, Indeed, and LinkedIn.
• Onboarding & Training: Coordinate new hire orientation and service training programs.
• HR Operations: Maintain employee data in HRIS, manage status changes (e.g., new hires, separations, promotions), and track compliance for licenses (e.g., food handler, lifeguard).
• Affirmative Action: Oversee the Affirmative Action Plan to support diversity and inclusion.
• Community Relations: Support partnerships with local schools and organizations (e.g., Hands-On @ Hyatt, Coachella Valley High School – Hospitality Program).
Collaborate with Human Resources team in other HR functions as needed (e.g., engagement initiatives, general employee support)
Anticipated Schedule:
Tuesday – Saturday; 8AM – 5:30PM. Scheduling arrangements can be discussed with Director of Human Resources.
Pay Range
The hourly pay-range for this position is $24.00 – $27.00. This is the pay range for this position that Grand Hyatt Indian Wells reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, but not required.
• 2 years of experience in HR, particularly in recruiting, onboarding, and generalist functions highly desired.
• Familiarity with employment law, HRIS systems, and compliance requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and a team player with a genuine passion for employee development.
