Job Description Summary

The role of Incoming Quality Technical Lead involves a combination of technical expertise, leadership, and communication skills.

Incoming Lead is responsible for handling the prioritization and day-by-day activities at incoming area. Overseeing the inspection and testing of incoming materials to ensure they meet specifications. Maintaining detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality reports. Ensuring all incoming materials comply with industry standards and regulations. Leading and mentoring a team of quality technicians and inspectors.

Is responsible to complete inspection in timely manner and effectively communicate any non-conformance or roadblocks. Lead has a technical background to develop equipment programs, precise measurements and problem solving.

Responsibilities

1. Coordinate and perform incoming inspections for all parts and products using the appropriate written procedures as detailed in applicable product line-up.

2. Expertise in operation of high precision measurement equipment’s.

3. Set up and operate vision system equipment, Micro-vu, CNC machines, Stereo Microscope and other measuring instruments to determine compliance to specifications.

4. Knowledge on using multiple ISO gauges, Indicators, Optical comparators, Hand measuring equipment, Surface analyzers (profilometers), Instron and Force Gages.

5. Strong knowledge of blueprint and schematic models.

6. Performs first article inspections on new or modified molds/tools, both in house and where necessary from our suppliers.

7. Knowledge of sampling plan standards (e.g., ANSI Z4.1, Z1.9) to determine correct sample sizes and acceptance limits for the various quality characteristics and acceptance quality levels stated in written procedures.

8. Responsible for follow up the incoming procedure in detail.

9. Ensures that all product lots meet the established incoming procedures, specifications, and inspections, before his/her approval to release to stock.

10. Assures all instruments and gauges used in the area are calibrated and that the calibration is current.

11. Properly manage physically and at system the material inspected including release samples, samples to be scrapped, destructive sample management or material in Hold.

12. Release of product lots and coordination for stock movements via SAP.

13. Responsible to stop further processing in the event of encountering a non-Conforming product condition, and document it in the appropriate rejection documents.

14. Responsible to inform and follow up quality issues and manage the open and closing of QNs in the system.

15. Participates in training and re-training of employees.

16. Maintain safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and proper equipment handling.

17. Assists in validations as required.

18. Maintain area organized and with 5S.

19. Other duties may be assigned, as required.

Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
