Your role at Baxter
As an Operator I, Chemical at Baxter Healthcare Corporation, you will have the outstanding opportunity to contribute to a company dedicated to saving and sustaining lives. Your role is integral to ensuring our manufacturing processes are conducted with outstanding quality, safety, and efficiency. What youll be doing
- Follow safety and GMP regulations, complete job assignments on time, and maintain quality standards. Tasks include material transfers, chemical reactions, distillations, sampling, and equipment cleaning.
- Document manufacturing activities with flawless accuracy, revising necessary documentation such as MBRs, LIMS, protocols, SOPs, forms, cleaning logs, and EOA records. Attend and complete manufacturing process training sessions.
- Coordinate process material transfers between control rooms and field operators, including Tank Farm, Environmental, and Manufacturing Areas to ensure seamless operations.
- Follow the plant safety program rigorously and attend training related to Emergency Response Brigade, Log Out Tag Out (LOTO), Work Permit, and Medical Surveillance.
- Complete manufacturing reports, including Mass Balance, Visual Board, Downtime, OEE, and Lot Required, ensuring all data is meticulously recorded and reviewed.
- Detect, react promptly, and advise management of abnormal operating conditions. Perform field troubleshooting to resolve issues efficiently.
- Maintain a basic understanding of product and process knowledge to support manufacturing operations and improvements.
- Support manufacturing shifts with overtime when requested by management to meet production goals and timelines.
- Actively participate as a member of the Emergency Response Brigade, attending all required training sessions and meeting Medical Surveillance requirements.
What youll bring:
- Technical Diploma or Associate Degree, with zero (0) to one (1) year of experience.
- Basic knowledge of cGMP regulations.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to operate electronic equipment efficiently.
- Strong record-keeping skills, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to interpret and apply maintenance, repair, inspection, and compliance codes or standards effectively.
- Proficiency in interpreting and converting units of measure such as temperature, pressure, flow, area, mass, distance, and volume.
- Mathematical reasoning skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate percentages, as well as use calculators or other associated electronic equipment.
- Interest in following written procedures and/or verbal instructions communicated via telephone or shortwave radios.
- Understanding of technical drawings and knowledge of sampling techniques.
