Summary This position is located at Special Events Office BLGD 660, Depot & South Terminal Rd, Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico. Responsibilities Serves as advisor for assigned program areas in the functions of planning, coordinating, synchronizing, and executing events and activities that take place at the installations facilities. Analyzes Operations Orders (OPORDS), summary sheets, and special requests for use of services, facilities and/or equipment to determine required logistical support and assets. Identifies potential problems in meeting requirements and resolves and or proposes possible modifications or solutions to event sponsor/proponent. Reviews and interprets directives and regulations and advises on the development and implementation of local administrative directives and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualification Requirements: Demonstrated work experience and ability that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties described above. Experience must have been equivalent to the next lower pay level. HIGHLY PREFERRED Are those candidates that possess both the minimum qualifications above and all of the following: Have experience handling a large volume of customer inquiries for information or purchases via email, social media, by phone or in-person. Possess experience with audio visual aids. Knowledgeable in the use of Power Point to prepare presentations to Command. Familiar with Excel to present data for financial briefings. Possess experience using social media to market or promote an event to a range of two to three thousand customers. Applicants that are considered highly preferred may be sent first for consideration. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Governments interest. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
