Process Engineering Lead

SUMMARY
The Engineering Lead provides technical guidance and day-to-day direction to a team of Process Engineers. They ensure that all activities in process areas are aligned such that manufacturing processes are stable, predictable, safe, and deliver output of the highest quality. Additionally, a person in this role analyzes existing processes, identifies improvement areas, and implements solutions to dynamically meet the demands of our customers. This role requires a highly experienced practitioner and technical expert with a broad mastery of unit processes used in the manufacturing of flexible PCBs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Foster an inclusive workplace by actively addressing biases and promoting diversity.
Manage and assign tasks to engineering and technical personnel.
Drives actions and monitors the progress of engineers and engineering technician activities in support of team objectives.
Escalates complex technical issues to engineering manager, if needed.
Core team member for product and process risk analysis.
Conducts detailed analyses of current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including applications, quality control, maintenance, and management, to develop and implement process improvements.
Designs, develops, and implements new processes, equipment, and tools to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and ensure product quality.
Utilize process simulation software and other tools to model, optimize, and validate proposed improvements.
Develops and maintains process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training materials.
Participates in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Six Sigma projects to drive waste reduction and process optimization.
Provides technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve process-related issues and ensure smooth production operations.
Work with Equipment and Facilities teams to ensure processing equipment are maintained in good order.
Work with equipment vendors to understand capabilities and adapt to our needs.
Act as a training resource for operators in manufacturing.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to process engineering and manufacturing.
