Part Time – Scheduled shift is 3:30pm – 8:15pm to include weekdays and weekends

$500 sign on bonus

POSITION SUMMARY:

To provide a high quality dining experience to patients which meets their nutritional requirements and service expectations. The Host/Hostess acts as the liaison between patients and food service and nutrition through daily patient interactions and coordinating patient nutritional needs between nursing units and dieticians, as well as kitchen staff. The Host/Hostess assists patients with room service when appropriate and delivers meal trays to assigned patients.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

Ability to speak, read, and write English clearly and proficiently.

GED/High School Diploma – preferred

Min – 1-3 years experience in a customer service position, min – 1-3 years experience in a food service establishment.

Working knowledge of a PC/Microsoft Windows.

Participates in orientation and continuing education. Updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Typing skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills and understanding of menus, food and diets. Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently to complete tasks. Ability to problem solve to meet customers needs. Must display a friendly and cheerful demeanor at all times reflecting the culture of healing and service excellence that we promote. Ability to handle stressful situations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS:

Industrial and Clinical Setting – Exposure Class I or II.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Light to medium work, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling; service specific

Pay Range: $16.20 – $23.50

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
