Compunetix is seeking a Trainer and Documentation Specialist to research, write, review and edit technical documents (maintenance manuals, release notes, white papers, etc.), user manuals and quick reference guides. 

Responsibilities:

– Research, write, review technical documents (maintenance manuals, release notes, white papers, etc.), user manuals and quick reference guides
– Review existing documents for accuracy and usability
– Conduct customer training on products and internal operations training classes as needed  

Requirements:

– Bachelors degree in Technical Writing or in a technical discipline (i.e. Computer Science) is required
– 1-5 years of experience in documentation design
– 1-5 years experience researching and writing technical documents, user guides, quick reference cards, training manuals, release notes, white papers, etc.
– Proficiency working with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Illustrator/Photoshop)
– Proficiency working in Adobe FrameMaker and MS Office Applications
– Solid verbal and written communication skills including a strong command of grammar
– Strong organization and interpersonal skills (for interviewing engineers, giving presentations, conducting training and interacting with customers)
– Ability to work independently
– Ability and willingness to conduct customer demonstrations
– Ability to travel 10% of the time
