As a member of our Permanent Secondary Display Merchandising team, you will be instrumental in creating unique, profitable displays for our retailers while leveraging insights to craft selling tools for our retail and sales teams. 100% of students who have gone through the program would recommend it to a friend. Who Are We Seeking: Someone who seeks a full-time (30-40hrs/wk), full semester co-op experience that crosses marketing, sales, retail, supply chain and finance disciplines. Initiative, collaboration, communication and drive for results are key competencies for success in this role. Responsibilities: Effectively analyze data to develop selling stories, merchandising principles and insights Manage our weekly display inventory report Manage all “Merchandising Magic” website enhancements and our interactive augmented reality display library Lead research projects both qualitative and quantitative, to develop the next big merchandising “white space” idea Lead creative design challenges & engage with our suppliers to develop cutting edge merchandising solutions Support our local TSLs (Territory Sales Leads) by working one retail field day each week to learn the TSL role and gaining a deeper understanding of the sales process and business Conduct thorough ROI calculations to drive profitable display solutions Support all GCIC customer meetings, set up and presentations Cross Functional team engagement with the following departments: Marketing, Sales, Re-set, Category Management, Supply Chain and Packaging Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint in the workplace, long-term project or internship At least one previous internship Held a leadership role within an organization, club or school Data analytics in a previous job, internship, or school project College Junior or Senior Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Students from all majors (B.A., B.S.) potentially interested in a career within Sales post-graduation. Before starting an FT Co-Op, you must have completed your sophomore year with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license in good standing Reliable transportation to complete multiple sales calls per day carrying promotional display materials Please be advised that The Hershey Company welcomes all applicants to internships.
