Material Handler/Inventory

Material Handler

1st Shift: 7am – 3:30pm (OT offered)

Pay: $19-$24/hr. (depending on experience)

Job Description:

Coordinate and expedite flow of material

Recording shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability

Receiving, unpacking materials/supplies and reporting damages and discrepancies for accounting

Completing shipping and receiving reports

Arrange transfer of materials to meet production schedules; examine material to verify type specified for current project; and compute amount of material needed for specific job orders

Inputting materials into the SAP system (willing to train if you don’t have exact experience)

Organizing the inventory to standard

Determines method of shipment and prepares bills, invoices and other shipping documents

Receives merchandise – checks and signs delivery slips, and assists with unloading as necessary

Inspects and verifies incoming goods against invoices or other documents, records shortages and rejects damaged goods

May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goodss

Maintaining and updating records

Counting materials, equipment, merchandise or supplies in stock
