Job Description:
L3Harris’s Palm Bay location is looking for a new college graduate Software Quality Engineer to join the Software Quality Engineering team. This SWQE will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, and accuracy of company products in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. Performs analysis on reported nonconformities and discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, and field data. Further investigates the cause for discrepancies and nonconformities to develop disposition and recommend corrective action plans. Participates in material review board and Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) activities. Interfaces with software and firmware engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for the maintenance of quality records that document the quality status of material/products and provide necessary information and cumulative data for internal and external Customer responses.
Chair the PMRB to disposition discrepant hardware throughout manufacturing process (supplier defects through field support).
Work closely with the program teams and the functional to ensure that all phases of the customer life cycle, from early customer involvement through post-delivery support, meet the requirements for mission success.
Analyze defects and non-conformances with quality control inspectors and manufacturing engineering.
Participates in Scrum processes, code peer reviews, and performs code analysis as part of software verification activities.
Utilize quality metrics including Cost of Poor Quality to improve yields and reduce rework during engineering and manufacturing efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies or related field
Security Clearance required upon hire : Ability to Obtain
Security Clearance required for role : Ability to Obtain
Preferred Additional Skills:
Quality Trend Analysis and previous RCCA experience
Experience working with multi-functional teams (Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations)
Excellent communication, technical writing and presentation skills
