POSITION SUMMARY As a Buyer II you will be responsible for a specific set of commodities, products, or suppliers with responsibility for efficiently and effectively planning and procuring material to properly support the production schedule. The Buyer II is responsible for managing inventory levels, supporting material/product change management, interacting/coordinating with suppliers on a variety of topics, all in support of the overall organizational goals and objectives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS All employees are required to support Rosenbauer s Mission, Vision, and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer. Analyzes MRP outputs and initiate new purchases, as well as reschedule and cancel existing orders to support production schedule changes and inventory initiatives. Interacts and communicates with suppliers the product specifications, purchase order details, and delivery requirements to support the business need. Develops and implements inventory programs i.e. Kanban, VMI, Consignment in conjunction with organizational inventory goals, to reduce inventory, improve working capital, and mitigate operational disruptions caused from shortages. Reviews and resolves receiving and invoicing discrepancies, as required by receiving or accounts payable, to ensure accurate inventory and timely supplier payments. Reviews and resolves problems relating to pricing, quality, and delivery, and to promptly communicate to the Supplier for corrective action. Maintains proper Order Confirmation and Delivery Schedule in the ERP system. Monitors planned delivery dates, versus build schedule demand, notify production support of any upcoming or pending delays, and properly resolve with the Suppliers, to avoid negative impact to the Production Schedule. Participate in daily, weekly, or determined frequency of Production Meetings to review and update operations to support effective communication between Supply Chain and Operations. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company and our members.
