Avera is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) Medical Scribe looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Job Summary

Supports a clinic physician by proficiently operating the Electronic Medical Record by efficiently entering orders and documenting patient encounters for the physician; allowing him/her to focus their time on direct patient care rather than the computer. While this is not a direct patient care position, the individual may be called on periodically to perform patient care to assure efficient patient flow and high quality care and services.

Education and/or Experience

Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Must have current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure required.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; 72hrs/2wks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$20.75 – $29.25 per hour
