We are seeking a Compensation Analyst who will contribute to general compensation programs and processes by completing assigned tasks to help maintain innovative pay programs and support the financial well-being of employees. The Analyst will gather data and analyze compensation trends in the external market, make recommendations to ensure that T. Rowe Price jobs are appropriately aligned for internal equity and external competitiveness and partner with more senior professionals to ensure compliance and accuracy of work. This role offers the opportunity to learn and advance your skills and experience in compensation processes and practices. This role with follow a hybrid work model with 3 days/week in our office in Owings Mills .

Responsibilities:

With minimal supervision and depending on the area of focus, provides guidance to Human Resources and the business on compensation programs and issues. May support more senior professionals by reviewing and analyzing compensation data.

With guidance, may manage a small compensation project that requires a standard solution, including establishing a project plan, coordinating and managing resources, forecasting and monitoring project budget, etc.

Conducts research on compensation programs and gathers competitive intelligence to contribute to the development and implementation of best-in-class programs that align with business needs. Monitors compensation programs and offerings to ensure they align with Total Rewards philosophy and global governance strategy and are culturally/market relevant.

Analyzes jobs through the job evaluation process to ensure internal equity of positions across job families and grade levels. Matches T. Rowe Price positions to external market data, identifies internal comparisons, and recommends grade and salary changes.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelors degree, preferably in Business, Psychology, Human Resources, or related field, or

The equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 2 years of total relevant work experience

2 years of experience in compensation and/or financial analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to communicate with multiple levels, including with HR colleagues and Business Unit Leaders/ Managers

Demonstrated analytical skills and attention to detail

Advanced Excel skills

Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities

Ability to work independently and as a strong great teammate

Commitment to excellence in service and client relationship management

Solid knowledge of compensation processes and practices, particularly around benchmarking and managing of salary structures

CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) recipients and candidates preferred

Workday experience

Asset management and/or financial services industry experience.

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to two days per week from home.

Base salary ranges:

$83,000.00 – $141,000.00 for the location of: California, New York

$72,500.00 – $124,500.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C

$66,000.00 – $113,500.00 for the location of: Colorado, Maryland, Washington and all other US locations

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role . Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package . Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
