SHE Specialist

Chemical company seeks SHE Specialist. Required: Bachelors Degree or higher. Safety, Health and Environmental or related field prefferd. Must have 5 years of SHE experience in manufacturing or construction required with experience in chemical manufacturing preferred. Salary Range: $93,000 – $104.000. Must have a demonstrated understanding of SHE regulatory requirements and current best practices. Examples are given below. o Federal and state air, water, and waste regulations o EPCRA regulations and reporting o OSHA Standards, including Process Safety Management o NFPA Standards o TSCA reporting requirements. The scope of this position includes: leading, overseeing, and driving all aspects of the implementation and maintenance of the facilitys safety, health, and environmental (SHE) programs. The SHE Specialist is a leader and supports the organization by providing guidance for safe operation of the facility and compliance with government and company SHE regulations, policies, and procedures. Here are a few responsibilities of the position. Develop, implement, and maintain SHE policies, procedures, and programs. Administer SHE program management, including but not limited to auditing, monitoring, reporting, and record keeping. Provide technical guidance, coordination, and support regarding various SHE issues to the organization. Organize and assist management and supervision with training employees and contractors regarding SHE topics. Conduct SHE audits, inspections, and investigations and assist the organization in identifying corrective actions.
