Job Purpose

Performs a variety of accounting activities and special projects focused on the areas of general ledger analysis, sales tax filing and reporting, ledger posting of payroll and credit card expenses. This position will be customer focused, primarily to internal customers and ultimately will develop a deep understanding of the operations within the Ring companies.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

This position will work closely with the HR Benefits Manager on the accounting side of the payroll process including funding entries, payroll accruals, general ledger reconciliations, and exceptions as they arise.

Timely creates, validates and imports electronic files from Workday into Infor LN for bi-weekly payrolls processed.

Basic accounting skills to reconcile balance sheet accounts for all Ring companies and work with others to resolve any outstanding items.

Analyzes and prepares bank account reconciliations for all accounts in all companies. Problem solves the outstanding items, eventually learning the processes behind the issues and work to identify solutions to prevent those problems from happening.

Credit card administrator for corporate card program by opening and closing accounts, training new cardholders in use of the credit card reporting system, auditing all cardholder expense reports, and electronic file of transactional data into Infor LN.

Processes all Capex AP invoices in accounts payable and works closely with the capex Purchaser for timing of payables. There will be some shared responsibilities between this position with the Accounting Manager. This is to facilitate learning how Accounts Payable works at Ring as well as back-up purposes.

Utilities – Process invoices, upload to SharePoint, complete monthly KWH reporting, work with Purchasing on incentives and sales tax recovery.

Responsible for business license renewals, state annual reporting, government census reporting, and other similar reporting.

Sales tax filings and audit coordinator.

Manages Ohio workers compensation plan payments and annual reconciliation.

Assists in the month end closing process, reporting and budget.

Assists in the annual financial audits by audit firm.

Maintain complete and accurate task lists and status of open items.

Uses Microsoft Excel extensively and efficiently for reporting and reconciliation processes. Should have knowledge of pivot tables, advanced formulas such as vlookup, concatenate, and text to columns.

Continually look for opportunities for improvement, in our processes or workflows, utilizing current system functionality, upcoming future enhancements or possible advanced technology that would be new to Ring.

Special Projects – assists with new implementations of software, mapping, testing and process development.

Responsible for keeping documentation of processes and work instructions for the accounting analyst responsibilities.

May perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the Financial Services Director.

Experience and Educational Qualifications

Minimum education of bachelor degree preferably in a finance related field. Equivalent to 5 years’ experience in accounting.

Familiar with Infor LN or comparable ERP/business management systems

Experience on workday HCM/PR System a plus
