Work Days: Mon-Fri (Saturday Work When Needed)

Summary: Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipes and electrical systems by performing the following duties.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and creates an action plan to repair.
Diagnoses problem or repairs machine, may discuss machine operation variations with others.
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as PLCs and wiring, electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Repairs and maintains physical structure of the building.
Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery such as robots or programmable controllers.
Sets up and operates machine tools such as grinder, drill and tap, sawzall and FS40 Manual Shredder machine. Repairs or fabricates machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
Operates cutting torch or welding equipment.
Performs PMs as required and trains machine operators.
May operate a forklift or other PIE as required.
Keeps shop, toolbox and work areas clean.
Makes decision to bring in outside contractors when necessary and coordinates their activities while on site.
Completes daily inspection of Boiler Room equipment.
Works with Corporate Engineering and Maintenance on a regular basis to keep repair expenses at a minimum.
Works with leaders and team members of all departments to plan/coordinate/design/implement continuous improvement ideas to make the plant more efficient.
Assists engineering with capital project activities.
Assists with writing SOPs to operate equipment.
Develops and leads Centerline Program on equipment.
Follows NFPA 70, LOTO and OSHA Safety rules.
Ensure BRC protocols are implemented and audited as required.
