Job Description Summary:
Visiting Faculty (multiple positions) to teach undergraduate course(s) in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology (ECET) on a per-course basis during spring semester, 2025. Course assignments are made on a semester basis and taught on Miamis Regional Campuses (Hamilton, OH and Middletown, OH). Courses are offered during the evenings; most courses are distance-learning courses, delivered by web conferencing. Some courses may be scheduled in face-to-face format.
Job Description:
Visiting Faculty (multiple positions) to teach undergraduate course(s) in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology (ECET) on a per-course basis during spring semester, 2025. Course assignments are made on a semester basis and taught on Miamis Regional Campuses (Hamilton, OH and Middletown, OH). Courses are offered during the evenings; most courses are distance-learning courses, delivered by web conferencing. Some courses may be scheduled in face-to-face format.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology or closely related field by date of appointment, or bachelors degree with 5 years of professional experience by date of appointment in a closely related field and one of the following: (1) managerial or executive-level professional experience or highly applied professional experience; (2) at least 18 graduate credit hours in field plus four years of significant professional experience; or (3) professional certificate in the field plus at least four years of significant professional experience.
Consideration may be given to candidates with the ability to teach at least one of the following courses/topics: DC Circuit Analysis, AC Circuit Analysis, Wireless Communication and Networks or Programmable Logic Controllers; Experience with distance learning and video conferencing systems. Commitment to teaching excellence. Relevant and technologically current industry experience; Professional Engineering license; or postsecondary teaching experience.
