Axogen is hiring for a Plant Controller in Vandalia, OH!
Job Summary of the Plant Controller
Reporting to the Director, Controller, the Plant Controller will oversee the financial operations of Axogens tissue processing facilities in Vandalia and Dayton, Ohio, outside contract manufacturer, and distribution facility in Burleson, Texas. The role is responsible for maintaining financial integrity, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements, and supporting the plant management team with financial insights to drive operational efficiency and profitability. The Plant Controller will also play a key role in financial planning, reporting, and analysis for the facility. The role is 100% in office in Vandalia, Ohio with occasional travel required.
Requirements of the Plant Controller
Bachelors in Accounting required; Masters in Accounting a plus, MBA (Master in Business Administration) a plus.
Active CPA, required.
Minimum 10 years of experience in financial management, with at least 7 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably within an FDA-regulated industry.
Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial analysis.
Public company industry experience, required.
Previous public accounting experience serving public companies required; at a Big 4 or large regional firm necessary; 3 years preferred in assurance/audit.
Previous life science industry experience, preferred.
Experience with Accounting Software, i.e. Great Plains a plus.
Knowledge of FDA regulations and compliance requirements in a manufacturing setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change across functions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.
Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
