Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The maintenance technician will be responsible for preventative maintenance and repair on machines, equipment, and facility electrical systems. Duties include installing power supply, wiring, and conduit to machinery and equipment. The technician must safely work with three-phase and single-phase wiring, move machines and office equipment when needed, and be knowledgeable with a wide variety of welding and CNC machine-related equipment. Additional responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, control boxes, wires, and cables; recycling components in working condition on faulty electrical and mechanical components such as motors, relays, switches, sensing devices, gears, and shafts; troubleshooting and repairing electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components; planning the layout of wiring and installing wiring for machinery and equipment, phone, and computer lines as required; assisting with keeping the shop clean; performing preventative maintenance on all equipment, cranes, hoists, fork trucks, and the building; and overseeing the heating and cooling system and plant compressed air system.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Clare, Michigan.

Work Environment

3rd shift (8p-6a) maintenance position. Training would be done on 1st shift before moving to 3rd. Training would be done 6a-4p M-Th with Fri/Saturdays used when needed. Currently, Fridays and Saturdays are depending on work/jobs needed to complete. The plant is large with multiple rooms, machines, welding departments, etc.
