What are full-time employees eligible for at MMI?
– We offer up to three weeks of PTO right in that first year of employment. Youre eligible to use it after 90 days, but you begin accruing on day 1!
– In addition to our generous PTO, we offer 12 paid holidays which includes the week between Christmas and New Year!
– Insurance benefits include two different health insurance options, vision, dental, and life insurance.

Employment Specialist
MMI is committed to creating inclusive communities and meaningful connections through employment and training. We are seeking compassionate individuals to get involved in the community and help persons served achieve their goals. As an Employment Specialist your responsibilities will be:
– Support persons receiving services with the selection and placement into jobs that meet each individuals preferences, choices and abilities.
– Work with both employers and job seekers to assure an effective job match.
– Planned and cold calls to local businesses to establish a database of prospective employers and identify employment opportunities, as well as frequent contact with participants seeking employment.
– High focus on customized employment for each individual.
– Significant local travel is required.
– Group or individualized training for participants or providing intensive supports for participants as assigned.
– Work Mostly within Alma and Gratiot countywith occasional trips to our main office in Mt Pleasant as well.
– Serve as the services coordinator and/or job coach for participant.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a human services, marketing or another field relevant to this position. Two years of relevant work experience in sales, employment services or job placement may be considered in lieu of degree.
