Position Summary:

Duties associated with facility cleaning and sanitation include thoroughly cleaning floors, walls, and various surfaces within the facility. This also involves wiping down equipment, removing debris, and ensuring all areas are maintained in accordance with cleanliness standards. Tasks may include mopping, sweeping, disinfecting surfaces, and addressing spills or any buildup to maintain a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities:

– Perform cleaning tasks, including pressing, sweeping, mopping, and picking up litter around the building and surrounding areas.

– Stock and organize supplies like hairnets, beard bags, cups, and maintain the storage room and janitors closet.

– Clean and maintain equipment, airlock, tacky mats, and remove oil from machinery as needed to support a clean environment.

– Perform general maintenance tasks, including stripping/waxing floors, maintaining documentation, and other duties assigned by the production supervisor.

Must Have:

– High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

– Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English

– Ability to read and follow instructions, safety guidelines, and cleaning product labels.

– Basic math skills may be necessary for mixing cleaning solutions or managing

inventory of supplies.

Good to have:

– Previous experience with janitorial or custodial work, along with knowledge of cleaning products, chemicals, and equipment operation (e.g., floor buffers, vacuums).

– Strong attention to detail, physical stamina for manual tasks, and ability to lift/move heavy objects (typically 25-50 pounds). Comfortable working in various temperatures or weather conditions if outdoor cleaning is required.

– Ability to manage time effectively, work in varying temperatures, and stand, walk, or bend for extended periods.
