Hours: 6am-6pm

QUALIFICATIONS

3-5 years demonstrated experience running lamination equipment using flexible materials.

Ability to work with all levels of employees.

Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures job and materials are available and staged on floor prior to machine/job start. Perform line clearance and set up to begin job.

Loads and unloads roll stock; perform material quality check.

Assist in mixing prescribed adhesives, catalysts and solvents to the proper working viscosity.

Assists in rotating and maintaining chemical inventory and supplies.

Observes machine operation to detect defects or machine malfunction. Minor adjustments to be made with assistance from operator A. Document changes on Daily Production Sheet.

Checks and records bond strengths utilizing the Instron machine as assigned.

Performs minor machine maintenance; including daily and weekly PM. Report any necessary maintenance to Supervisor.

Reports unsafe working conditions and safety concerns to Supervisor.

Focus on Housekeeping, 5s responsibilities and GMP’s during shift production.

Completes required documentation and enters data into the computer database accurately and timely.

Participates in trainings and supports continuous improvement initiatives.

Stage materials, pallets, adhesives, raw materials, required to maximize up-time.

Prioritize materials for upcoming jobs on schedule.

Accurately document downtime and description on production board.

Ensure personal compliance with all company Quality System, Operational, and Human Resource policies, procedures, and practices, including Safety and housekeeping procedures.

HAZARDOUS WASTE RESPONSIBILITIES

This individual is responsible for handling and disposing of any hazardous waste associated with printing and laminating processes in accordance with county, state and/or federal guidelines.

Place hazardous waste into correct containers.

Label and mark hazardous waste containers properly.

Place hazardous waste containers in storage area.

Obtain containers for hazardous waste storage.

Handle hazardous waste containers properly including keeping waste containers closed when not in used and grounding and bonding during the transfer of flammables.

Respond to hazardous waste emergencies and spills.

HAZARDOUS WASTE TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

Annual Hazardous Waste Management Training.

Contingency Plan Training.
