Job Description Summary
The Business Manager A in the Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics(ITMAT) will provide support for the daily financial operations of the Perelman School of Medicine’s (PSOM) Masters a Certificate (MaC) programs . This position reports directly to the Director of Finance and Operations for ITMAT.

The Business Manager A in the Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics(ITMAT) will provide support for the daily financial operations of the Perelman School of Medicine’s (PSOM) Masters a Certificate (MaC) programs . This position reports directly to the Director of Finance and Operations for ITMAT.
Job Responsibilities
Prepares, analyzes, and maintains annual budgets for all PSOM MaC programs. Monitors budgets and reallocates funds as necessary.
Administers and coordinates the daily financial and administrative operation of the programs to ensure effective office procedures and efficient workflow.
Reviews, analyzes, summarizes, and interprets financial data. Monitors and prepares financial reports on all financial activity for PSOM MaC.
Liaise between departments to ensure salaries and effort are setup and appropriately paid.
Serve as the primary contact for all inquiries pertaining to compensation, reimbursement & procurement for all PSOM MaC programs.
Manage CHOP Tuition Billing for all PSOM MaC programs.
Ensures proper documentation/files are prepared and maintained for all transactions including expense reimbursements, purchase orders, PCARD use, general journal transfers, etc.
Processes or assists in monitoring the processing of payroll for department in a timely and accurate manner.
Ad-Hoc reporting as requested.
Process training grant-related forms for appointment, reappointment and termination of postdoctoral trainees, predoctoral trainees & K award scholars, using NIH systems & Penn postdoctoral systems.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree (accounting or finance preferred), with 3-5 years of experience in an academic setting or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Strong organizational and problem solving skills, Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Proficient use of all system applications necessary for operations, including, but not limed to BEN Financials, Pennant, and Business Objects.

Targeted Pay Range: $64,000-$69,000
This Targeted Pay Range is only applicable to this job posting. All salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
