Water Resources Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Earth Data Incorporated has an immediate, full-time opening for a highly motivated Water Resources Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities and requirements:

– Degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering or related field.

– PE license and ability to obtain in Maryland and Virginia within 6 months.

– Experience with the construction, development and testing of deep, large diameter production wells, primarily in unconsolidated sediments. MAR or ASR well drilling experience is a plus.

– Experience with the design, installation and testing of submersible and vertical turbine pumps and motors.

– Excellent oral and written communication and client management skills.

– Ability to make decisions on significant water supply planning, design and engineering procedures.

– Function as technical specialist and/or project manager on a variety of water supply projects.

– Interact with and provide technical support to an experienced staff of engineers, geologists, GIS technicians and field technicians.

– Provide project engineering and task management; collect, assimilate and present data in reports, memos and public forums; lead production of design calculations and technical reports; lead preparation of engineering plans and specifications for the design of water supply facilities.

– Demonstrate superior task management skills, including scheduling, prioritizing, following up, and keeping project information organized.

– Demonstrate superior problem-solving and analytical skills.

– Assist in state and local-level water resources permitting efforts.

– Perform other duties as assigned.
