Our client is seeking a Production Engineer to bring onboard for their new plant in Pendergrass, GA. This team will focus on design, manufacturing processes and management of products.

Required:

-Bachelors Degree – Mechanical

-Solidworks and CATIA required

– Minimum of 3 years of related experience – backround in manufacturing

– PLC Logic and Robot operation

– Knowledge and capability of electrical and mechanical design

– Mass production and automation

– Automotive backround

– SMT and start up experience within a manufacturing environment

– Required to travel to Japan for training this September -October!

responsibilities:

Evaluate Manufacturing Processes: Assess manufacturing processes for cost effectiveness and feasibility, both prior to and after engineering releases to manufacturing.

Lead Improvement Initiatives: Spearhead Kaizen (improvement) and cost reduction activities and projects to enhance operational efficiency.

Coordinate Engineering Releases: Oversee all engineering releases and changes related to routings, standard setting, data entry, and ensure follow-up with quality control to meet customer requirements.

Utilize CAD Software: Apply CAD software applications in designing and developing equipment and parts drawings, including 3-D imaging and motion for process simulation.

Determine Priorities: Collaborate with the Production Manager to establish priorities and maintain detailed documentation as required.

Asset Management: Investigate, justify, purchase, and track company assets.

Supervise Construction: Conduct layouts and supervise all necessary construction of plant expansion or alterations, coordinating with external contractors.

Mentor Junior Staff: Guide junior level staff in leadership ideals and practices, promoting and maintaining activities to develop and enhance management and leadership skills.

Promote Teamwork: Maintain high employee morale, minimize staff turnover, and foster a positive teamwork environment.

Adapt to Fast-Paced Environment: Work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural, team-oriented environment.

Computer Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office programs, including conducting data analysis using Excel. Experience with CAD (computer-aided design) systems is required.
