Senior Data Analyst

Overview
Bowhead is seeks a Senior Data Analyst who will work as part of an Enterprise Data Management team tasked with the analysis of the U.S. Marine Corps Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence (C3I) system portfolio to develop and consult in the implementation of an Enterprise Data Management Strategy, Roadmap, and in the modernization of related capabilities.

Responsibilities
• Identifies data sources to meet the organization’s requirements, using evidence-based decision making to establish a rationale for inclusion and exclusion of various data sets and models
• Coordinates with other organizations and/or colleagues from other areas of the customer organization to establish reporting needs and deliver accurate information
• Collects, compiles and cleanses data, solving any problems that arise, to/from a range of internal and external systems
• Produces performance dashboards and reports
• Maintains and develops reports for analysis to aid with decisions, and adhere to organizational policy/legislation
• Produces a range of standard and nonstandard statistical and data analysis reports
• Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in data sets
• Summarizes and presents the results of data analysis to a range of stakeholders, making recommendations
• Plan, organize and oversee multiple concurrent customer engagements
Qualifications
• Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, software development, data analytics AND a minimum of 15 years of experience as described above
• Analytical skills relating to database management and development
• Knowledge of relational database management systems, data mesh/fabric implementations, and data storage
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing for required customer support and requirement gathering and validation
• Knowledge of analytical tools and evaluation techniques
• Knowledge of military C3 and/or Intelligence systems a plus
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively senior government customers
• Ability to receive and respond to instructions/assignments, must be able to read, write and speak English
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
