Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator will dispatch all daily operations of routes. To ensure all employees are performing to the company policies and procedures and the appropriate laws that govern them. Oversee and provide leadership to all employees with the ability to communicate to them on a daily basis. Develop and review routes to company standards. Maintain all clerical duties such as reviewing and filing work orders, along with approving driver worker timesheets. Key Responsbilites: Request release #, create sales orders and purchase orders. Enter order into M5, enter price (if confirmed) and freight rate. Arrange transportation when necessary (freight rates negotiated and determined by the Logistics Manager) Communicate with Plants and End Markets/Customers confirmation of orders. Schedule delivery appointments, when necessary. Create and distribute Invoices for International outbound loads. Upon receipt of paper work (work order/ scale ticket), forward to Admin for pricing, received weights and matching. Follow up with Mechanics and Customers regarding weekly missed orders and additional available material to buy/sell. Track fill rates, including missed pickups, missed delivery appointments and cancellations. Provide Daily Container Report consisting of requests by plant, actual loaded equipment and explanation for any deviation. Inventory Management for all facilities. Based on incoming materials and operational schedule, provide weekly forecast of anticipated volume by plant by grade expected to generate to optimize marketing of materials. Manage and monitor forecast to ensure it is followed by operations and communicate any deviation in a timely manner to allow time to inform customers, re-evaluate and adjust schedule accordingly. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies: University degree or College Diploma in Business Administration or related discipline is preferred. Strong relationship and interpersonal skills. Ability to work without supervision. Resolving conflict multi-tasking Ability and openness to training and learning about our business. Excellent communication skills in oral and written. Exceptional computer skills and competency. Competent working knowledge of Microsoft office, excel, word, power point and outlook. We thank you for your interest.
