Job Title: Hazardous Waste Technician

Job Description

We are looking to grow our current East Liverpool team! We seek individuals for long-term employment who will handle hazardous waste from 55-gallon drums (liquid, solid, rock, etc.). All necessary tools will be provided. Forklift experience is a plus, but training will be provided if needed. Candidates will also receive HazMat certification and safety training. You must have your own steel-toe boots.

Hard Skills

Forklift operation

HAZWOPER certification

Firefighting experience

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including a respirator

Soft Skills

Regular and predictable attendance

Ability to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime when necessary

Ability to participate in Emergency Response and Fire Brigade

Ability to read, write, and comprehend English

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 1400 Hour(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in East Liverpool, Ohio.

Work Environment

This is not a climate-controlled environment. Candidates must be open to working all shifts and hours and must be flexible with their workload. The role involves working in a hazardous waste facility and requires full PPE, including safety glasses, hard hat, lab coat, steel-toe boots, and respirator.
