DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will assist in overall program administration with emphasis on child welfare regulations and child safety. Work includes planning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of County Casework Managers as well as providing administrative and technical direction regarding day-to-day operations of a large professional human services staff. You will also represent the Agency Administrator, as needed, at meetings with the public, the judiciary, and state and local officials concerning the functions and programs of the county children and youth agency. A teamwork mindset is essential for effectively coordinating the agencys programs with community needs to protect children from abuse and neglect. You will also assist in the development and implementation of objectives, goals, policies, and procedures for the Department. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Evenings and weekends required as needed.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Three years of experience in the field of public or private social work, including one year working with children and youth in an administrative or supervisory capacity; and a bachelors degree; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
You must pass a background investigation.
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
